High resolution cameras in most cases that uses interchangeable lenses (recommend to use Fujinon, and Tamron) these cameras can be best used in areas where detail is a key factor (Cashiers, banks, car plates and zooms on specific areas) the chip is larger and the camera has more control with light adjustment (usually a visual menu will help setup light apertures and colors )
Recommended for indoor / or outdoor within a metal housing(see below), a large verity of lenses is a variable lens 2.5mm to 1000mm even fish eye.

As described above box cameras need to be enclosed when placed out door these type of housing work perfect to protect the camera from the elements, Box can come with Heater (for freezing temperatures or blowers for high heat) can be painted .
DVR Digital Video Recorder!
The DVR is the hart and soul of your surveillance/observation system
its where the data that comes from your cameras will be transformed to digital files and can be retrieved from the built in hard drives, you can chose cameras that are not the best but the DVR is what will make the call if you see the face or not! (DVR's can come in the following ch range 1to60)
Pick only DVR's with the following spec;
1, Built in Hard drives that can take more then 1Hard drive
2, I phone android and blackberry apps free
3, built in webserver for online viewing
4, D1 recording capabilities
5, full frame - 4chX30fps - 9X30fps - 16X30fps - 36X30fps
